Proof of identity

With the application code obtained in the previous step, you should go to the Registration Office to which you have been assigned so as to provide proof of your identity.

The Registrar will immediately enter your name in the Register application and give you the certificate application contracts, which you should check and sign and then return one of the copies to the Registrar. Remember to give your email address if you wish to be able to use your certificate to send and receive email messages. Once you have registered, you should download your certificate on your browser.

Documentation required:

  • DNI or, in the case of non-EU citizens, a Residence Card (NIE).
  • EU citizens who do not have a Residence Card must show an EU Citizens' Registration Certificate and their passport.
